Twenty Years of Change Recorded

Daphne Lloyd, the Local History Recorder for Woodbridge, has set up a display entitled "Do You Remember?" in the window of 21a Thoroughfare (next to the Cake Shop).

The display consists of twenty photographs from Daphne's collection, as Local History Recorder, of Woodbridge buildings that have changed or been demolished in the last twenty years or so.

Local History Recorders are volunteers who record all manner of local change, so as to build up a local history record for future generations. The Local History Recorder scheme is co-ordinated by the Suffolk Local History Council.

Contrary to what the name might imply, Suffolk Local History Council is an organization open for membership to the public - anybody with an interest in history can join. See the SLHC website for more information: slhc.org.uk.
