A café space to talk about death, dying and funerals
Wednesday 18 October
10.00 am – 12.00 noon
St Mary’s Church Centre
11 Market Hill, Woodbridge IP12 4LP
Most of us have first-hand experience of the death of a loved one and the subsequent pain of grief, or have supported others close to us. Our society tends not to talk about death or dying, and even though we might long to raise the subject, we are reluctant to do so. The Church of England has now begun to tackle this problem by offering GraveTalk sessions, where people of all faiths, or none, can talk freely about many aspects of death and dying and funerals. The sessions consist of small groups and, prompted by questions provided on a set of cards, you are free to share personal thoughts and feelings, ask questions and draw on your own life experience. A facilitator looks after each group, and everyone’s views and feelings are respected and valued.
Lots of tea, coffee and cake help as well!
Everyone is welcome.
