Bawdsey Radar Trust has been awarded £1.4m by the Heritage Lottery Fund to conserve the building and develop new exhibitions telling the story of Radar. Historic England has also given a grant of £196k which will help with the works to save this ‘Building at Risk’. The Transmitter Block is currently undergoing conservation so it is closed to visitors. It will re-open in Autumn 2017. The brand new interactive exhibition will explain the story of Radar and how we all rely on this development in our everyday lives. Visit our website regularly throughout the year for updates on the restoration progress and our new opening schedule. www.bawdseyradar.org.uk
