The Unruly Pig
ESTRELLA DAMM UK TOP 50 GASTROPUB AWARD WINNER
As well as being an Estrella Damm UK Top 50 Gastropub, The Unruly Pig has been named Best Suffolk Gastropub 2018.
Indeed, The Unruly Pig has won a host of awards and is recommended by the likes of the Sunday Times, Financial Times as well as many foodie publications such as “Delicious” and “Olive” magazines.
We also have the highest rating in East Suffolk in The Good Food Guide 2018.
We have also been awarded Front of House Team of the Year at the Estrella Damm UK Top 50 Gastropub awards, named as ‘Best Pub in Suffolk’ 2016/17 by the Great British Pub Awards, and are recommended by both the AA Pub Guide and The Good Pub Guide.
Our vision is to provide exceptional food, great wines, craft beers and really friendly service in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The Unruly Pig is a 16th century Suffolk Inn. It has cosy log burners, original oak beams, sloping ceilings, Wi-Fi and an eclectic mixture of pop and local art – a traditional pub with a contemporary feel and ambience. We are located in Bromeswell, only 5 minutes drive from the historic market town of Woodbridge and just 4 minutes drive from Sutton Hoo (the National Trust’s awe inspiring Anglo–Saxon royal burial site).
We are featured in ‘5 of the Best: Pubs with Walks’ (The Financial Times). Rendlesham Forest and Sutton Heath are on our doorstep and the hauntingly beautiful, windswept coast at Shingle Street is nearby. It’s also cracking country for cyclists (and of course we have cycle racks). We are only 20 minutes drive from Orford Castle as well as the world famous concert venue at Snape Maltings. For the warmer weather, we have a decked area for al fresco drinks and dining. Our bar is very dog friendly (treats always available) and we are proud to support prisoners at HM Prison Hollesley Bay via Aldeburgh Music’s Community Education Outreach Programme.
So just pop in for a bite and a pint, or spend some time tasting our fabulous wines and some of Suffolk’s most glorious food.
A warm welcome awaits you all. Come and be Unruly!
