Woodbridge holds a special place in my heart, a beautiful market town on the Suffolk heritage coast.

The town is famous for its boat and rope making, it now offers fantastic events throughout the year,  keep an eye on the Choose Woodbridge website to keep an eye on whats going on in the town.

The town is based alongside the river Deben and famous for it’s boat building and rope making,  today the river is popular for rowers and sailors throughout the year.

I have recently joined Deben canoe and kayak club. The club offers excellent support for all levels of paddlers.  We meet on Thursday evenings throughout the year – you can turn up with or without equipment and be made very welcome, even if you are just on holiday you can pop along for an evening. Beginner courses are run in the summer and high school paddlers can meet on a Wednesday evening.  Their website is kept up to date and is a useful source of information for anyone interested.

There is a fantastic vibe throughout the town with an excellent mixture of independent and well known shops,  cafes,  restaurants and pubs…so many wonderful pubs!

We have just taken on a beautifully presented ground floor property situated on the edge of Rock Barracks perfect for those with a military interest as the area offers some very interesting military history. Greenways is located just a couple of miles from the main town this property offers a cosy, open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with a wood burner,  ideal for cooler evenings.  Outside you can walk straight from your doorstep over some beautiful heathland to a wonderful pub, the Sutton Plough to re-fuel for the way home. If you love good food make sure you visit the nearby Unruly Pig, you might have to book in advance but it’s worth the planning!

Greenways is an ideal property for up to 6 guests,  ideal for friends, families and welcomes a four legged friend too,  whatever the time of the year this is a wonderful cottage to enjoy.  Make sure you book quick though, it’s only been live for a couple of weeks and we have already taken 5 bookings.
