It’s the end of an era with Paula Moore and Spike Powell retiring from Woodbridge Kitchen Co after over 30 years at the helm of the iconic shop on Woodbridge’s Thoroughfare. New owners Kirsteen Torrance and Paul Venediger bought the business earlier this month.
Spike and Paula issued a message to the town saying: “We couldn’t step away without thanking all our customers and fellow traders for their support in establishing an iconic cookshop in the town over the last 31 years. We very much hope that their support will be passed on to the stores new owners to whom we wish the very best of luck.”
Paul Venediger, the new co-owner added: “Woodbridge Kitchen Company has thrived on the back of friendly, personal service, extensive product knowledge and one of the widest range of products in the area.
“When the opportunity came up to purchase the business, it was too good to miss. It’s a local icon and a huge draw for Woodbridge. Kirsteen and I want to build on the fantastic customer experience that has been put in place and will continue to offer a warm welcome to new and loyal customers alike.
“We, and the wonderful team at the shop, wish Paula and Spike a long and healthy retirement and look forward to seeing them on a regular basis.”
