Unless you’ve been living in darkest Peru, you would know that Paddington Bear’s favourite spread is Marmalade.
There is even a special recipe for the preserve dedicated to the little chap.
But here in Woodbridge we have an opportunity to take the orange jam to the next level – something that would be bound to impress the spread’s greatest international ambassador.
The Woodbridge Kitchen Company is holding its annual Marmalade competition “Best Marmalade in Town” – and you have just a few more days to get cooking.
Entries should be dropped into the shop by Sunday morning in time for the judging panel to get sampling.
Paul Venediger, manager, said: “This is the third year of running this competition and we’re hoping to top last year with 50 entries.”
The winner will receive a £50 voucher to spend in store with The Woodbridge Kitchen Company, with other prizes awarded for presentation and innovation.
Judging will take place by a panel including Harvey from Honey+Harvey and Ugur from The Galley, plus representatives from Woodbridge Kitchen Company.
