A Woodbridge business that has adapted to the current situation is Silk Rose.
Clare Perkins used to design and make wedding dresses. Now she is making scrubs to NHS requirements.
The first sets have been delivered to the town’s Framfield House Medical Centre and Clare has now moved on to making 30 sets for the East Anglian Air Ambulance following an urgent request for them.
Barretts of Woodbridge have just donated a box of sheets since suitable fabric is hard to come by.
Clare said she is “proud to use her skills to help our front line heroes”.
Clare has also made 60 masks for Woodbridge Emergency Response Group to help keep volunteers protected while out helping the vulnerable.
Clare is now making gowns, scrubs and masks for local businesses.
If anyone would like a mask please contact her on firstname.lastname@example.org . Payment can be made by PayPal.
