News ArticleTV’s Antiques Road Trip films in Woodbridge

There was great excitement over the bank holiday weekend outside Woodbridge Antiques Centre where antiques expert Thomas Plant and a BBC crew were filming for the popular TV series The Antiques Road Trip.
First shown in 2010, each episode features two antiques experts who travel around the country in a vintage car competing to buy and sell antiques to make the most profit.
In the episode filmed in Woodbridge, Thomas Plant is competing against Mark Stacey. The pair are driving around Suffolk in an eye-catching black 1978 MGB GT.
Thomas Plant and his crew started their day filming the Tide Mill and other views around the town before visiting Woodbridge Antiques Centre in Quay Street.
Owner Natalie Smith showed him a variety of pieces from their thirty cabinets in order to help him select the best items to sell in a forthcoming auction.
The show will be broadcast this winter so make sure you tune in to find out how he gets on.
