Woodbridge-based care provider Sarah’s Carers is looking to recruit dozens of new carers to help meet “skyrocketing” demand for its live-in care services.
The family-run business, which offers 24/7 live-in care in addition to daily care services, is launching a major recruitment campaign to recruit 30 live-in carers in Suffolk in response to a 200% increase in enquiries since the Covid-19 outbreak began.
Sarah Seaman, founder and director of Sarah’s Carers, says: “Demand for live-in care services has literally skyrocketed over the last few months, with many families looking into alternative options to residential care for their loved ones.
Most of us see our home as a safe place, a sanctuary even, and that has become increasingly evident during the pandemic – it’s therefore not surprising to see enquiries for home-based care grow.”
Sarah is a qualified nurse. She founded Sarah’s Carers out of a desire to provide carers with the right employment conditions, training and support to create rewarding and fulfilling roles, which in turn means they give clients the quality of care that makes a positive difference to their lives.
Sarah added: “At Sarah’s Carers our approach to employment is about looking after our carers so that they can focus on high quality care for our clients. This makes for a great working environment. We are currently looking for compassionate and kind people with previous care experience and for whom being a live-in carer could be the ideal next step.”
Live-in care supports older people or those with complex needs, such as a long term health condition or disability, to continue living in the familiar comforts of their own home and surroundings so they can enjoy their home, garden, pets, local friends and social activities. The live-in carer provides valuable companionship as well as supporting with personal care.
