We are thrilled to announce that Amore, on the Thoroughfare, is one of just six gift shops shortlisted for the title of Independent Gift Retailer of the Year in East Anglia.
Peter Whiteman, owner of Amore and sister company Dzo Dzo, said:
“As a small, independent retailer, being recognised by such prestigious awards in our industry is an incredible achievement.
“Not only does it bring us a great sense of pride to be able to say we are one of the best gift shops in East Anglia, it also boasts that Woodbridge is full of strong, independent businesses.”
The awards, now in their 18th year, were launched by Progressive Gifts & Home magazine to recognise and reward the UK’s very best gift retailers across the retail spectrum.
The finalists were chosen as a result of an industry wide poll of gift suppliers, reps and agents and were validated by a panel of experts within the industry.
Sue Marks, Editor of Progressive Gifts & Home said:
“These dedicated awards for gift retailers have risen immeasurably in status over the years and are now universally acknowledged as being true accolades of excellence
“Being selected as a finalist is a fantastic achievement. There was a huge entry this year, with some outstanding, first class entries.”
James Lightfoot, chairman of Choose Woodbridge, commented on the shop’s recent success:
“So many of the retailers and businesses in Woodbridge are award-winning and it is a pleasure to be able to boast that our members are some of the best in East Anglia.
“Woodbridge is a wonderful destination town with so much to offer visitors.”
